Each season of Abu Dhabi Classics is based on a different theme. Last year’s season was about the traveller and the Rihla, which reflects the real Abu Dhabi character. This season’s theme is centered on the relations, associations and mutual impregnations of the spoken poetical word and the music it carries.
Be ready in this new season for the greatest classical concerts and by many popular musicians and orchestras from both the Western and Eastern best classical musicians. There will be also some bright talents which will perform for the first time in an Arab country: Such as the Symphony Orchestra of India which performed in October and the celebrated China Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Long Yu which will perform in May.
Enjoy the mix of this year’s theme which is based on the merger between poetry and music, and attend the concerts of the impressive poets, Adonis and Gulzar, and prestigious musicians like Oud master Naseer Shamma and German baritone & Matthias Goerne.
