Budapest parliament:

The Hungarian Parliament building is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary located in the heart of Budapest. It’s one of the oldest buildings in Europe and a major landmark of Hungary. The monument is huge and opulent. It’s splendid with the Hungarian rulers’ statues and the reddish central dome. The interior design is unique including 691 rooms, the old house hall, long corridors and a dome room, that the ceiling is decorated with crown jewels. The parliament can’t be visited without a 45 minutes guided tour available in different languages. It’s highly recommended to book it online to ensure availability.

Chain Bridge (Szechenyi lanchid)

The Chain Bridge is a bridge crossing the River Danube and connecting the western and Eastern sides of Budapest: Buda and Pest. A symbolic and ancient building in Budapest, constructed during the 18th century. Don’t forget your camera, the views are magical, especially at night, when the bridge is illuminated.

Fisherman’s Bastion (Halaszbastya):

Situated on a hill, Fisherman’s Bastion is a castle-lake offering spectacular panoramic views of the city. It was built in the nineteenth century as a lookout tower.

It attracts today numerous tourists coming to admire the grandeur and the charisma of Budapest. The bastion is located near to the famous Matthias church, which is also worth visiting.

The entrance fees of the Fisherman’s Bastion Budapest is free but paying in some parts.

Buda castle:

Buda castle is a complex of historic sights and monuments: the Royal palace, magnificent gardens and museums. It’s the home of the Budapest History Museum and the National Gallery. The castle courtyards and courts are also the place of many festivals and events. That’s why, sometimes, it’s not open to public and you need a festival ticket to enter the castle.

The castle district is an attractive place busy with cafés and restaurants that animate the castle until midnight.

The admission to the castle is free but you have to buy a ticket to enter the attractions.

Budapest History Museum opening hours:

St. Stephen’s Basilica:

A Roman Catholic basilica representing a sacred landmark in Budapest. It’s the largest church in Budapest built by two talented architects during 50 years in the nineteenth century.  It’s distinguishable with  its high dome and special structure. The interior walls are nicely decorated with marble statues and sculptures. There is also an elevator taking to the cupola from where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the city.

In addition, the church host many music concerts and programs.

Opening hours: Mon-Fri: 9.00-17.00, Sat: 9.00-13.00, Sun: 13.00-17.00

St. Stephen's Basilica Budapest

State opera house:

The opera house is a neo-Renaissance building in central Budapest. It’s one of the best opera houses in the World. It has a large auditorium and sumptuous design. It hosted numerous famous composers and artists of the 19th century and organize now glamorous shows and performances.

You can enjoy one of the world-class performance or make a guided tour at morning for 45 minutes.

Prices: HUF 2,900 for adults and HUF 1,900 for students

Opening hours: The tours are from 3 pm to 4 pm
