Salzburg, one of Austria’s treasures and famous tourist destinations in Europe. It’s the town music, romance, towers and hills.  There is much to see and do in Mozart city but don’t miss this:

 

Salzburg Fortress (Hohensalzburg Fortress):

Situated on a hill, Salzburg fortress is a famous landmark in Europe, with spectacular views over Salzburg and the Alp mountains. With the audio guide you will know the interesting history of the monument while discovering its rooms, galleries and towers. You can walk up to the castle or take a funicular wish would be more wonderful with the views over the old town and the river of Salzburg.

Salzburg’s Old Town:

You can’t visit Salzburg without visiting its old town and feeling its deep history. Situated in the center of the city, it’s one of the most beautiful places in Europe. Tourists have a pleasant walk between the historic buildings and contemplate the classical architecture that resisted over years.

The place is charming and gorgeous, full of shops,restaurants and cafes. You can buy souvenirs and have an authentic Austrian meal.

Mirabell Palace and Gardens:

One of the most important cultural and heritage buildings in Austria, the palace and its garden are a fascinating beauty. you will enjoy amazing scenics especially in late spring and summer, when gardens become multicolored with different flowers and roses.  The castle has a fascinating architecture. The palace is a must for music lovers, who will live an exceptional experience listening to the music and contemplating the amazing landscape. And if you love music, then you’re in luck. As you will be just 10 minutes walking distance of the Mozart house of birth. So make sure you have enough time that day to strike two must dos of your list.

Mozart Geburtshaus:

The house where Mozart was born, has become a museum, where presented portraits, instruments, documents, family items and personal stuffs. With a guided tour, you will learn new things about this legendary Musician, his childhood, his beginnings, his arts and  his family. The museum is well organized and the items are well displayed. Either you are a Music lover or not, visiting this house will be always a source of inspiration.

Daily 9 am – 5.30 pm

July / August: 8.30 am – 7.00 pm

last entry 30 minutes before.

Untersberg:

Untersberg is a near and easy to access mountain in Salzburg that have a breathtaking view over the city and the alps. You can get to the top by different means and roads but the most amazing is by cable car which climbs up to 1776m.

During clear days, the nature and landscapes are fabulous and during snowy days, the snow and white views make the 20 min tour a magical moment.

At the top you will spend a great time at restaurants or cafes

Cable car service hours 2015: Every 30 minutes

March 1-June 30 and October 1-November 8: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

July 1-September 30: 8:30 am- 5:00 pm

December 12-February 29, 2016: 9 am- 3:30 pm

Closed for maintenance: April 13-24 and November 9 – December 11, 2015.
