Venice an italian city, composed of 117 small islands. It’s a floating city totally separated by canals, making her a romantic getaway and a destination for celebrities.

Is it safe?

Venice is a very safe city.  Even late at night when there are only few people in the street, you can walk out in total security.

When to go?

It’s advisable to visit Venice during the months of: April, May, September and October. When the weather is warm and beautiful. Although those months are the most expensive and crowded.

Venice carnival, is popular tourist attraction. Every February, it gives a vivacity to the cold city.

How to get there?

The closest airport to center is Venice Marco Polo Airport,  just one hour per bus. You can book your flight to venice here.

How to get around?

Although walking is very amusing activity in Venice we can use those mean of transport to discover the city:

  • Buses: The water buses called vaporetti and road buses are always available during the day and evening. If you will use public transport often, you can buy a tourist travel card to save money.
  • Water taxis, speedy but expensive.
  • Gondola: Venice special boat, more a ride than a transport but it’s very expensive.
