Kentucky Upcoming Events

Business First is writing about the naming of eight of Kentucky upcoming events among the top tourist attractions for the going half of 2009.

Kentucky Crafted: The Market 2009 : Kentucky’s Largest Showcase of Traditional and Contemporary Fine Art and Craft, along with Books, Musical Recordings, Film and Kentucky Proud® Specialty Food Items

The Keeneland Spring Meet: Will be held in Lexington, April 3 to 24. It includes three weeks of festival attractions that draw nearly 250,000

The Kentucky Derby Festival: The Kentucky Derby Festival has announce the theme for the 2009 Derby Festival – “Road to Fun!” The theme will celebrate the excitement of taking a “road trip” to explore the wonderful attractions that make our area of the country so beloved. “Road to Fun!” will be reflected in many of the Derby Festival’s events in 2009, with creative road signs and maps incorporated into promotions and event decorations. The theme was unveiled at last night’s Your Community Bank Poster Premiere at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center, which was decorated with interstate signage and a hallway entrance that resembled a blacktop highway.

Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event: Horce Racing Event at Lexington by Rolex

The International Bar-B-Q Festival: Every second weekend in May, Owensboro springs to life with the wonderful smells and sounds of the International Bar-B-Q Festival. Smoke from hickory-stoked fires blends with the aromas of sizzling chicken, bubbling burgoo and roasting mutton to complete the festival atmosphere.

This year’s International Bar-B-Q Festival promises to be a fun-filled and exciting time for regulars and first-timers alike. We’ve got plenty of events planned to make for a memorable Festival experience.

The MainStrasse Village Manifest: Festival event at Covington
